Newsec Property
Outlook Finland
2013 Autumn

The property market is overshadowed by an uncertain economic outlook and slow decision-making. Property sales are continuing to focus on quality properties in Helsinki and the metropolitan area as well as the prime commercial locations in growth centres.
Investment focus on Helsinki city centre is still strong but key owners are reluctant to sell. Property sales outside the most desirable areas are slow because the risks are perceived as considerable and parties have very different ideas about pricing. In addition, obtaining funding outside the prime areas is challenging. In office leasing, leasing decisions are seldom made and the tenants are calling the shots.
