Heikki Kangas appointed Head of Valuation at Newsec
3.10.2019Heikki Kangas has been appointed Head of Valuation at Newsec Advisory in Finland and will begin in his new role on 1 January 2020. Heikki has worked at Newsec since 2010 as Deputy Head of Valuation. The current Head of Valuation, Hannu Ridell, will continue as Senior Advisor until he retires on 30 June 2020.
Residential and logistics properties in Finland attracting investors
13.9.2019Newsec’s latest Finnish Property Outlook predicts that foreign investors will continue to show increased interest in Finland’s property market. Low interest rates and yields coupled with stock market uncertainty is expected to keep property investment demand high. Investors are now interested primarily in residential and logistics properties.

8.7.2019YIT Suomi Oy has on 5.7.2019, in collaboration with the limited partnership Suomen Osatontti II Ky, bought the former premises of Institute of Marketing from the registered association Markkinointi-instituutin Kannatusyhdistys ry. The property located in Helsinki at Töölöntullinkatu 4-6 has previously been in office and educational use.
Trevian Finland Properties I has bought the majority share of the Ruoholahti metrostation office property
5.7.2019Special Investment Fund Trevian Finland Properties I has acquired 70.5% share of the real estate company Ruoholahden Metrotori from Trade Union Pro. Newsec acted as the advisor of the Seller in the process.

MIKKO TENHOLA APPOINTED HEAD OF NEWSEC ADVISORY IN FINLAND
18.3.2019Mikko Tenhola has been appointed as the new Head of Newsec Advisory in Finland from August 1, 2019. He joined Newsec in 2010 and has been deputy Head since 2017. The current Head Juhani Reen will retire at the end of 2019.
Newsec Property Outlook Spring 2019: (Co-)working 9 to 5 – is that the new way to make a living?
11.3.2019The total co-working stock in the Nordic and Baltic countries has grown by 36 percent from 2017 to 2018. Following this strong growth, the amount of co-working space will continue to increase by another 24 percent in 2019, up to 680,000 square meters. Co-working as a share of the total office stock will also continue to grow, from 1.5 percent in 2017 to about 2.5 percent in 2019.
