Nordika II QG AB sold a modern health care property, located in Leppävaara, Espoo to eQ Finnish Care Fund. The property, completed in 2009 has approximately 5,000 sqm of leasable area with HUS (The Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa) being the anchor tenant. HUS utilizes these premises primarily for child and youth psychiatric care.
Newsec advised the seller in this transaction.
“Good assets remain in demand in the Finnish real estate market, of which this transaction is a good example”, states Thomas Vane-Tempest, Newsec´s Senior Advisor.
“The process with Newsec and eQ has been very good – and it is with satisfaction we conclude this transaction after having extended the lease with HUS and secured a new long term lease. The sale once again proves that Nordika is consistently outperforming the market.” says CEO Jonas Grandér from Nordika.
“We are primarily investing in care, health and education buildings in the capital region and this health service building complements our share of public tenants nicely. We are happy to be able to strengthen our cooperation with HUS and the process with Nordika and Newsec has been smooth”, says Investment Director Jennifer Eloheimo from eQ.
