Itis evolves – Employment Services Center and Mehiläinen become part of the entity

Newsec assisted the Itis shopping center in negotiations with the City of Helsinki regarding the placement of the new Employment Services Center in Itis, as well as in negotiations for signing a lease agreement for Mehiläinen's new full-service medical center.

As a result of long-term cooperation, Itis and the City of Helsinki have agreed on a 15-year lease concerning a total of approximately 4100 m2 of space across the 1st to 4th floors of the shopping center. The renovation of the premises will begin immediately, and the Employment Services Center is expected to commence its operations in full by early 2026 at the latest.

The new Mehiläinen clinic will open in Itis in the fall of 2025, and it will employ nearly 100 healthcare professionals. The medical center will include Children's Mehiläinen, Sports Mehiläinen, Dental Mehiläinen, as well as an accident emergency department opening at the end of the year.
